Thomas’s Battersea

As part of our on-going involvement with Thomas’s Preparatory School we were asked to look at the potential options for the addition of 4no. new classrooms as well as the associated ancillary amenities at their school in Battersea. With the location for the additional rooms identified, we developed an approach which sits comfortably within the schools courtyard. Taking precedent from the surrounding school building, the proposal makes reference to the textures, colour range and massing of its immediate context. With support from Wandsworths conservation team the scheme is currently in for full planning permission with an anticipated start on site during 2010.
