London Christian School
2009, London
Claridge Architects successfully won a competitive tender to develop a feasibility and appraisal study for UK Christian Schools. Working closely with the client we worked up a series of options for the conversion of an existing building in Southwark into London Christian Schools first purpose designed facility. The final proposal established the creation of 8 purpose built classrooms with dedicated ICT suites, libraries and two Halls for communal use. The phased development of this scheme aims to allow the first intake of students in Sept 2009, prior to the completion of the second floor and roof-top playspace in the summer of 2010. Claridge Architects are currently looking at the feasibility of creating additional London based schools for the same client in areas such as Islington.
