Hulcote Nr. 5

The proposal was to design a new contemporary family dwelling within a Conservation area. The existing building seemed disjointed from the other village buildings, therefore our intention was to reposition the proposal to better suit the balance of dwellings on the site. The new scheme consists of two forms, the front being finished to relate to the nearby traditional dwellings and the rear section employing a more modern approach being clad in timber.
The scale and shape mimics the surrounding buildings and substantially improve its relationship with neighbouring properties while creating a functional family dwelling in this historical setting.
